If you choose this method, you arrive one hour prior to your dental appointment and take a small sedative pill. We’ll make you comfortable and place you on a monitor to watch your vital signs. When you reach the proper level of relaxation, your dental treatment begins. After your treatment is complete, your driver will get you home so that you may continue sleeping. In most cases, you will remember very little about the dental visit.

IV Sedation

For patients with extreme anxiety, we offer general anesthesia. The Comprehensive Dental Group of Houston works with several board-certified anesthesiologists to provide IV sedation. Deep sedation or general anesthesia performed by a licensed anesthesiologist allows even the most apprehensive patient to complete their dental treatment.
